About ReadyTo.Vote

ReadyTo.Vote is a free tool that helps you send your Texas voter registration application to your county. You fill out your information here, we create the official form for you to review, and when you’re ready, we have it printed and mailed to your county’s voter office—so you don’t have to find a stamp or a printer.

This site is built by B-59, a company that builds tools and services meant to serve the public. We are not your county, we are not the government, and we do not register you to vote. Only your county can do that after they receive and process your application. We just make it easier to get your application to them.

What makes this different

In Texas, there is no single “click to register” option run by the state. To get on the voter rolls, you have to get a signed voter registration application to your county. Usually that means printing a form, filling it out, and mailing it yourself—or finding someone who can hand-deliver it for you.

ReadyTo.Vote is the first online tool built to do one thing: let you complete your voting registration application on the web and choose to have it sent through the mail to your county. You enter your details and sign electronically; we turn that into the official form and work with a trusted mailing service to print and mail it to the right office. You get a copy for your records and can check that it was sent. Your county receives it by regular mail and processes it like any other application—they’re the ones who add you to the voter rolls.

So: we don’t register you online. We help you send your voting registration application to your county using the internet, so your county can register you once they get it.

How it works (in plain terms)

You’re in control at every step:

  • You enter your information — name, address, date of birth, and the other details required on the Texas form. You also create an electronic signature.
  • You review the application — we show you exactly what will be on the form before anything is sent.
  • You choose to have it mailed — when you’re satisfied, you tell us to send it. We don’t mail it ourselves; we use a professional mailing company (Lob) that prints the form and sends it by US mail to your county voter office.
  • Your county receives it — they process it the same way they process applications that arrive in the mail from other sources. They decide whether you’re added to the voter rolls. We don’t have a say in that.

No one here reviews or approves your application before it goes out. Our system checks that things like dates and addresses are in the right format, but you are responsible for making sure everything is correct. Once you choose to send it, the mailing happens right away—there’s no delay or human gatekeeping.

Your privacy and your data

We take your information seriously. We use it only to create your application, send it to your county via our mailing partner, and give you a copy and tracking info. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with campaigns, parties, or data brokers. We use strong security practices to protect what you give us. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy and get answers to common questions in our FAQ.

Free to use

ReadyTo.Vote is free. We don’t charge you to create or send your voting registration application. The project is run as a civic effort and is funded by donations from people and groups who want to make it easier for others to get their application to their county. No one is paid based on how many applications go through the system.
